My 2023-24 Global Nomad Tour

I am incredibly fortunate to have figured out a work-life balance that affords me the opportunity to pursue my greatest interests in life – travel and food. I operate a seasonal business so I am free to travel outside of the San Francisco summer. With my son entering college in the fall, I am planning to spend long periods sinking into my favorite spots and discovering new ones.

My nomad life may be more meticulously planned than others. While spontaneity can facilitate opportunity, at this stage in my life, I am seeking to set the stage for a comfortable journey, while also broadening my circles of locals and expats. I host dinner parties. Nothing gives me more joy than gathering groups of diverse souls to break bread. I am always interested in meeting new people.

Below is my upcoming travel schedule. If you live in these places and want to connect, contact me. If you are planning to visit these places while I’m there, contact me. If you know people you think I should meet, contact me.

  • 26-31 Aug: I will be in New York City seeing friends and kicking off my nomad life.

31 Aug - 5 Sep: Labor Day weekend in my home town of Margate. Beach time, subs, oldest of old friends.

  • For the second year in a row, I’ll be back in Rome for a month. I will be studying Italian during my mornings and working on my new project. Daily yoga & boxing. I’m staying in a special 2br apartment overlooking the Pantheon. Lot’s of dinner parties. Visitors welcome.

  • Right now my schedule is loose. What I have in mind is to make my way up to Friuli from the 1st-5th. I’m meeting a friend (and possibly others) to explore Friuli until the 10th.

I’ll likely head to Slovenia + Croatia following. Still TBD. Then gradually make my way over to London to see more lovely folks. Fly back to SF on the 22nd or 23rd.

  • For most of November I will be hunkered down in lovely San Francisco (San Pancho). I have a 3-bedroom place, so guests are welcome. I plan to surf, cook, and continue to work on my new project.

  • I’ll be back in the Bay Area for Thanksgiving. Will likely try to visit LA as well.

  • Very excited to be returning to my dear Muang Thai. Starting with a Vipassana retreat, so will be completely off the grid until Dec 24.

Thinking of spending Xmas and NYE in Chiang Mai. Still TBD.

Judah is coming on Jan 3 and we will be poking around the south. Perhaps Koh Tao, definitely Krabi.

  • I’m currently booking places in the mountains and am open for whatever comes. I hope to get in some good days in the Rockies but would also love to ski in Europe, Japan and Canada.

  • Right now I’m channeling the universe for what’s next. Israel is high on the list. Turkey is interesting. South America could be nice. We’ll see.

  • Back home for the summer and to work work work!
